Manta Lodge YHA & Scuba Centre is participating and supporting the Clean Up Australia Day event at Amity Point, North Stradbroke Island on Saturday 4th March 2012.

WHAT: Australia’s biggest community participation event. Get yourself registered!
WHEN: Sunday, 4 March 2012
WHERE: Cabaritta Park, Amity Point, North Stradbroke Island
WHO: Everyone is welcome – friends, family, kids, community groups, work colleagues.

A team of divers will be cleaning up the water around the jetty, swimming area and boat ramp. In 2010, 2.5 tonnes of rubbish were collected from underwater and on the shore. We hope to be able to achieve the same results this year with your help.

Also a team of volunteers will be cleaning up the foreshore areas and a organised Kayaking group will also be requiring volunteers.
