Manta Lodge and Scuba Centre : Stradbroke Island

Greetings fellow divers and ocean explorers! MANTAFEST is coming! The crew on beautiful North Stradbroke Island are doing it again!

This time, in 2010, the festival, which runs from Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of February, will be bigger than ever before!
The chance to dive, photograph, video and marvel at these incredibly beautiful and graceful underwater flying saucers is YOURS!

Well folks after 10 years the old tractor, ‘rusty red’ died….. very sad.
The good news is…..

On our most recent open water class the students reported back seeing Mantas, Eagle rays, Reef sharks, Grey Nurse Sharks, turtles, leopard Sharks, huge bull rays, dolphins on the surface, moray eels and more…. not bad for dives one and two!!

WE DIVED WITH WHALES !!!!

Shark Fest One and Two went off without a hitch with everybody, that’s correct, everybody diving up close and personal with the Grey Nurse sharks and many other types of sharks.

Over the last few weeks the whales have been putting on a fantastic show with breaching and tail waving to the delight of everyone on board our boats….
