Solo Diver Course
Learn to Dive without a buddy!
The Solo Diver course teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy. The course stresses proper dive planning and accident prevention and advises the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for solo diving.
The course is well suited to underwater photographers and videographers enabling you greater opportunity to focus on capturing selected images and not having to rely on buddies to remain close at hand. Also it is ideal for Dive masters & Instructors.
Solo Diver certification is typically completed in two days (usually Saturday and Sunday) and costs $299.00 per person.
Before starting your course you need to:
- have a minimum of one hundred (100) logged dives
- be certified as an Advanced diver or above
- be a minimum of 21 years old
You are required to have the following items on the course:
- Redundant air supply – pony bottle complete with independent regulator
- Spare Mask
- Spare Knife
- Spare Computer
- Surface Marker Bouy (SMB) with reel and line
